June M. Davis

                COSHOCTON- June Marie (Bales) Davis, 90, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Signature Healthcare.

                She was born Jan. 12, 1927 in Coshocton to the late Opha Bales and Blanche (Karr) Bales Johnston. She was a 1945 graduate of Keene High School, and a former employee of Novelty Advertising. She married Wayne T. Davis on June 21, 1957, who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2006. She enjoyed reading, and completing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

                She is survived by a son, Stephan W. Davis of Warsaw; two daughters, Cathy S. Davis of Coshocton, and Cheryl Grossenbaugh (fiancé Gary Atkinson) of Fresno; five grandchildren, Brandon Davis of Inverness, FL, Jessica B. Davis of Coshocton, Joshua M. Grossenbaugh, Molly L. (Scott) Bates of Hebron, and Cory S. (Kaylee) Grossenbaugh of Newark; five great-grandchildren, Robert J. “RJ” Grossenbaugh of Coshocton, Rebekah L. & Alexa P. Bates of Hebron, and Delilah J. & Owen M. Grossenbaugh of Newark; a sister-in-law, Esmond Taylor of Westerville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special neighbor, Olive; and Cindy Walling and the rest of her loving care givers at Signature Healthcare.

                In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert “Bob” Bales, Kenneth Bales, and James “Jim” Bales; and two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Shaw and Harriet Bales.

                A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
