Margarete Wise

                Danville – The Golden Gates gained another special person Monday morning when Margarete (Gradl) Wise passed away at Majora Lane in Millersburg.

                She was born in Wernberg Germany on August 16, 1925. Margarete and her siblings Michael Messer, Barbara  Gradl Blick (Bette), Wolfgang Gradl (Wolf), Magdalena Gradl (Lani), Johanna Gradl Beyl (Honni), Marie Gradl Hildenbrant (Mary), Georg Gradl, and Anna Gradl, were the children of Johann and Magdalena (Messer) Gradl. She married Floyd Oliver Wise who passed away on August 19, 1966.

                Surviving are her children; Frances Martin of Wooster, Ronald F. (Jenyce) Wise of Danville, and John E. Wise of Mount Vernon, grandchildren; Sherry (David) Seymour, and Laura (Bryan) Bigley of Apple Creek, Kevin (Angie) Wise, and Kari (John) Ball of Danville, and Ryan (Tina) Wise of Mount Vernon, 11 great grandchildren, and sisters-in-law; Barbara Wise Smith of Mount Vernon, Virginia (Glenn) Kidwell of Walhonding, and Frances Wise (Richard) Heffelfinger of Mount Vernon.

                A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Laura Coykendall will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 Thursday morning. fischerfuneralhome.com
