Martha C. Staats

                DANVILLE - Martha Caroline Staats, 95, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at her home.

                She was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Greer to the late Eldon and Floy Greer. On April 14, 1943 she was married to the late Ned E. Staats, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2006.

                Martha was a member of the Gideon International Women’s Auxiliary, and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

                She is survived by her children, Ann (David) Fruth of Amelia, Pamela Cross of Boiling Springs, SC, Joanne (Lance) Boone of Howard, Thomas (Robyn) Staats of Danville, and Brian (Lanna) Staats of Danville; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcella Pealer; a brother-in-law, Neil Staats; and several nieces and nephews.

                In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Staats, who died Jan. 9, 2014.

                The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Danville Church of Christ, 15961 Danville-Jelloway Rd.  Danville, OH.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. David Havens, Rev. David Fruth, and Evangelist Dave Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
