Rhonda Wilson Obituary

WARSAW- Rhonda Linn (Walters) Wilson, 62, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024.

She was born June 15, 1961 in Mansfield to the late Floyd H. and Shirley D. (Bemiller) Walters. She was a 1979 graduate of Mansfield Sr. High School.

Rhonda was married to Robert K. Rothrock, and together they had two daughters, Casey Renee and Candice Nicole. However, she became a widow at the age of 27 after Robert’s untimely passing. She then moved from Mansfield to Coshocton in 1994, where she began her career at Kraft Heinz. She enjoyed and cherished her co-workers who became dear friends for the next 27 years, until her retirement.

On Oct. 16, 2000, she married Ray Wilson, and gained a son Devlen. She loved feeding her birds, fattening up her pets, crocheting, reading, puzzles, and enjoying the simple life. Ray eventually got her out of her comfort zone as they began traveling to random destinations. Most of those trips the kids found to be boring, but nothing was more fun to them then wandering through a museum for hours.

Rhonda was one of the hardest working and strongest individuals you will ever meet. She took a lot of pride in that, as one should. She beat Stage III ovarian cancer with a smile on her face. She lived a very challenging life, but she never took the good times for granted. She idolized her family, as we did her. She was the best daughter, sister, wife, mom, and “G-Ma” & “Great G-Ma” that a family could ever have.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ray Wilson of Warsaw; her daughters, Casey Renee (Gary) Giffin of Coshocton, and Candice Nicole Rothrock (Andy McVay) of Millersburg; stepson, Devlen Ray Wilson of Coshocton; granddaughters, Mallory Rae (Trevor) Wine and Melanie Shea Giffin (Cole McKee); grandson, Mason Randall-Keith Giffin, Terry Ruger McVay, and Kadyn Lane Wilson; a great-granddaughter, Wrenley Jean Wine; mother-in-law, Donna Wilson of Coshocton; and several step-children and step-grandchildren around the country.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Ann Walters; and her father-in-law, Dudley Ray Wilson, Sr., all of whom missed dearly every single day. As we suffer her loss here on Earth, we are trying to find peace in knowing she is now getting the best of both worlds.

Rhonda gave the gift of life through donation to Lifeline of Ohio, continuing her caring and generous spirit beyond her life here on Earth.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. until service time. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
