UTICA- Cole James Cline, 33, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born Aug. 21, 1985 in Mt. Vernon to Shelly (Bill) Hans. He was a 2004 graduate of Danville High School, and was a self-employed mason.
Family was the most important part of Cole’s life. He was very involved and active in his children’s lives and enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and being outdoors. He shared a passion for bowhunting with his father-in-law and was an avid deer hunter. He loved to tinker, enjoyed woodworking, and collected guns. And those who knew him knew how he loved a good meal.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 4 years, Amy L. (Roy) Cline of Utica, whom he married June 26, 2015; his children, Madison Joanne Cline, Katie Blackburn, & Blake Blackburn; his mother, Shelly (Bill) Hans of Danville; grandparents, Alvin & Doris Keener of Danville, Dale & Jeannette Hans of Howard, & Mary Bricker of Columbus; two brothers, Justin Cline of Danville, & John (Shirley) Shoemaker of Mt. Vernon; a nephew, Giovanni Cline; a niece, Jayda Cline; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Mike & Brenda Roy; a brother-in-law, Matt (Aubrey) Roy; and niece & nephew, Lucy & Gavin Roy.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Thelma “MawMaw” Lowther; and great-grandparents, Foster & Hattie Keener.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Calling hours are from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Please dress casually, Cole would appreciate it!
