Columbus – Kenneth Frederick Aebie, 77, formerly of Danville, passed away at his residence on Monday June 10, 2019.
He was born in Elyria on August 16, 1941. He was the son of the late Frederick A. and Doris Mae (Anderson) Aebie. He was a veteran of the U.S Navy, serving from 1959 to 1965, and was a member of the American Legion Post #257 in Loudonville. He was also a member of the Jelloway United Methodist Church, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and draft horses.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Hunger) Aebie, his son, Todd (Kim) Aebie, his daughter, Leigh (Brent) Bachtel, his brother, Bill Aebie, his grandchildren, Aaron (Mary), Ryan, Kaylyn, Nicole, and Megan, and his nieces, nephews, and brother in law, Bob.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha, and a paternal aunt.
A funeral service will be held at the Jelloway United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 14. Pastor Ruth Douglas will officiate. Burial will follow in Jelloway Cemetery, where graveside military honors will be conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church starting at 11:30.
