Leland "Sonny" Cooper

COSHOCTON – Leland Wesley “Sonny” Cooper, 78, died Monday, August 14, 2017 at his residence.

          He was born August 15, 1938 in Coshocton to the late Leland and Gladys (Wilkinson) Cooper.

          He was employed at General Electric in Coshocton for 35 years and was State Director for the Gold Wing Road Riders from 1987-1992.  He also owned & operated Cooper's Bicycle Repair Shop for several years.

           He is survived by his wife Paula (Darr) Cooper, whom he married April 29, 1960.  Also surviving is his daughter, Cheryl Cooper Hill, son, Marc Allen Cooper, and granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Porter all of Coshocton.

           He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim.

          Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
