Danville – Linda Sue Myers, 64, passed away at home on Saturday November 17, 2018.
She was born on February 13, 1954 to Glenn Roy and Jacqueline L. (Colopy) Myers. Linda retired from Knox Community Hospital after 20 years of service. She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church and was a prayer warrior. If someone was sick, she would light a candle and ask for that person to be placed on the prayer list. Linda loved life, and loved her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her Colopy family, all of her friends, and her special friend, Lacie Valley. Most of all, Linda enjoyed her time with the love of her life for over 20 years, Thomas Kinnard.
She is survived by her mother, Jackie Myers Shackle of Mount Vernon, brother, James (Rachel) Myers of Danville, step brother, Jeff (Rochelle) Shackle of Butler, step sister, Gail Cline of Mount Vernon, nephews, Michael (Tina) Myers of Millersburg, Stephen (Katie) Myers of Centerburg, and Shawn (Mary Cathrine) Myers of Lexington, three great nephews, Wyatt, Garrett, and Curtis Myers, one great niece, Autumn Myers, step nephews, Kyle and Kory Shackle, and step nieces, Jessica Cline, and Karina McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn, and her step father, Ronald “Bud” Shackle.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 21 at the St. Luke church. Father Olvera will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the Fischer Funeral Home, 403 High St. Danville, from 5:30-7:30 Tuesday.
