                COSHOCTON- Madeline (Miller) Hess, 89, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at her residence in Windsorwood Place.

                She was born Sept. 3, 1928 in Coshocton to the late Russell R. and Mary M. (Perkins) Miller. She was a graduate of Roscoe High School. She married Victor E. Hess on Nov. 19, 1950, who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1996. She retired from the payroll department at the former G.E. plant in Coshocton.

                Madeline was a member of the Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church and the Roscoe United Methodist Church, and was active in the United Methodist Church Women’s Group, the church choir, and the Coshocton Community Choir. She performed many solos for various events, weddings and special occasions throughout the community. She lived in Roscoe Village for 61 years, and was a member of the Roscoe Village Foundation with whom she volunteered for many events in the village. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and growing flowers, however her faith and her family were the most important parts of her life.

                She is survived by her daughter, Jill (Jan) Guilliams of Coshocton; five grandchildren, Jodi (Jason) Rowland of Miamisburg, Josh (Levin) Guilliams of Warsaw, Jordyn (Luke) Gibson of Hanover, Wendy (Rich) Baker of Troy, and Bryce (Lara) Hartman of Troy; nine great-grandchildren, Javen Guilliams, Lexa, Layla, & Jax Guilliams, Cruz, River, and Moriah Gibson, Amanda (Jeremy) Hull, and Harrison & Hayden Hartman.

                In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David R. Hess; a step-daughter, Rhona Hartman; a brother, James H. Miller; and an infant sister, Kerma Leota Miller.

                Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 at the Roscoe United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dale Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Branch Cemetery. Calling hours are from 3-5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 1st at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, and also one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
