BRINKHAVEN- Ralph Andrew Ferry, 69, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Mt. Vernon to Ralph B. and Ann H. (Eder) Ferry. He was a 1967 graduate of Danville High School, and he served in the United States Navy. He was a hardwood lumber inspector for the National Hardwood Lumber Association, and Brenneman’s Lumber Co.
Ralph was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan, loved Jimmy Buffet, and enjoyed golfing with friends.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 46 years, Patricia Joy (Leach) Ferry of Brinkhaven, whom he married Dec. 15, 1972; two daughters, Susanne (Brian) Kelley of Howard, and Stephanie Ferry of Brinkhaven; four grandchildren, Quiana, Bella, Carter, and Kiaria; his mother and step-father, Ann & Dave Lint of Howard; three sisters, Lorraine Ferré of Mt. Vernon, Debra (Roy) Strouse of Blufton, SC, and Diane (Mark) Haip of Fredericktown; a brother, Bill Ferry of Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Mike (Kathy) Leach of Brinkhaven; a sister-in-law, Sharon Hocker of Galion; many nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Chet & Mary Jo Looney and Mick & Kathy Kanuckel; and countless other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph B. Ferry; and a sister-in law & brother-in-law, Jan & John Needham.
