Sandy Hood

                Danville – Sandra “Sandy” Hood, 60, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Country Club in Mount Vernon.

                She was born October 1, 1956 to Leland and Pauline (Bowman) Conner. She married Greg Hood on June 21, 1975. She was a former Scout leader, and a dedicated wife of a 21 year police officer.  

                Sandy is survived by her husband, Greg, children; Josh (Deanna) Hood of Danville, and Adam (Veronica) Hood of Mount Vernon, grandchildren; Emily, William, Reanna, Leahandria, Adriam, and Conner, sisters; Wilma Richert of Howard, Lee Ann (Mike) Kauffman of Glenmont, and Terry (Joe) Stone of Danville, a sister-in-law, Darlene Hood of Danville, and many nieces and nephews, including a few very special ones; Rhonda Carter, Julie McLarnan, and Eric and Jason Hood.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Gary, Randy, and Larry Conner, her step-father, James McAvene, her brother-in-law, Bill Hood, and her mother and father-in-law, William G. and Betty Hood.

                A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 10 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.  Burial will follow in Riley Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-9 on Wednesday evening.
