Brinkhaven – Terry L. Sheldon, 70, or “D” according to his grandkids, passed away on Sunday September 2, 2018 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born in Mount Vernon March 1, 1948 to Floyd W. “Chap” and Edna Marie (Didinger) Sheldon, who preceded him in death.
Terry worked at American National Can for 31 years, and 10 years at the Mohican Juvenile Facility. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the St. Louisville Beagle Association, and a lifetime member of the Knox County Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed and cared for all of his friends, and his best attribute was being there for any of them.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Miller) Sheldon, his daughters, Tara (Tom) Scarazza, and Tanya (Buck) Strasbaugh, grandchildren, Cade and Maria; and two brothers, Randy Sheldon of Bradenton, FL, and Greg Sheldon of Glemmont.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville. Father Homer Blubaugh will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the church from 6-8:00 Thursday evening, with a prayer service at 7:45.
