William R. Ridgway

                Howard – William R. "Bill" Ridgway, 73, of Howard died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

                He was born February 22, 1944 in Danville to Rodney and Mary Faith (Colopy) Ridgway. He graduated from Danville High School in 1962, and served in the U.S Marine Corp from 1962-1966. On October 31, 1970, he married Mary Rine.

                Bill is survived by his wife, Mary, his children; Heidi (Russell) Mickley of Danville, Scott Ridgway, Jeremy Ridgway of Danville, Shannon Ridgway of Howard, and Karina (Harley) Filyaw of Danville, grandchildren; Joey and Kadence Mickley, Hannah Ridgway, Travis Jones, Christopher Ridgway, and Brantley Filyaw, sisters and brothers; Rebecca (Ron) Lock of Kentucky, Tom (Diane) Ridgway of Danville, Marcia (Lon) Lepley of Howard, Marilyn Roberts of Fredericktown, Steven (Sandy) Ridgway of Westerville, Marie (Tim) Blubaugh of Howard, and Lisa (Jim) Blaisdell of Howard, many nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law, Lottie Rine of Howard, and  sister-in-law, Polly (Gary) Hansen of Mount Vernon.

                He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Ann, his parents, sisters; Cynthia Ridgway and Mary Lee Kirk, and brother, Joseph Ridgway.

                Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Pastor Tom Duncan officiating. Burial, with graveside military honors by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council, will follow at Workman Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. on Monday.
