WARSAW - Beatrice E. "Betty" Ashcraft, 86, of Maple Street passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born June 5, 1923 in Coshocton County to the late John R. and Bertha Mae (Sheldon) Bechtel.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Russel, of 67 years. Also surviving are three daughters, Sue Kimble of Mount Vernon. Becky (Larry) Pepper and Janet Ashcraft of Warsaw. Eight grandchildren, Lisa Ringwalt of Springfield, Amy (Gene) Sawan of Akron, Julie (David) Lee of Muskegon, MI, Mary Beth Miller of Cincinnati, Heather (Jay) Sullivan of Boston, MA, Jennifer (Jason) Hogue of Pataskala, Megan (Shawn) Rupert of Newark, and Russel (Brooke) Pepper of Reynoldsburg. Twelve great grandchildren, Daniel Owen, Allison (Tyler) Bayliss, Abigail & Andrew Lee, Jessica, Kathryn, Christine, and Sarah Miller, Fiona & Wyatt Sullivan, and Jarrod & Jocelyn Rupert, and one great great grandchild, Aiden Bayliss.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilmer and Walter Bechtel. Four sisters, Jessie Purdy, Ina Mullin, Goldia Vernia and Olive Fellers.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Bill Norman officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Monday, August 17, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. and until service time on Tuesday.
