WARSAW- Cheryl Diane Thompson, 50, of CR 41, died Wednesday March 16, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Oct. 28, 1960 in Independence, MO to the late James Gregory and Wanda (Calvin) McGuire. She was always helping people, and was known for being a good friend. She loved her grandkids, they were what kept her going day after day. She was loved by many, and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her fiancAC. and companion of 15 years, Allen Decker of Warsaw, her daughter, Melissa (R.D.) Mobley of Warsaw, three grandchildren; Cruz, Cameron, and Kadden Mobley, three brothers; Leroy (Cindy) McGuire and Nelson Lackland of Blue Springs, MO, and John Lackland of Texas, two sisters; Cindy (Rick) Whiting of Warrensburg, MO, and Melinda (Rusty) Kurtz of Blue Springs, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 19, 2011 at the Warsaw Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to service time. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is assisting the family.
