WARSAW - Robert C. Young, 92, of East Church Street died July 10, 2011 at the Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born August 31, 1918 in Coshocton County to the late Clyde F. and Maizie (Cullison) Young.
He was a retired farmer, a retired school bus driver for the River View School District, and also worked at the former Towne & Sanders Rubber Co. in Warsaw. He was a member and past president of the Warsaw Lions Club. He was a 50 year member of the Warsaw Masonic Lodge #255, Samaritan Chapter, Coshocton Council, & Coshocton Commandry . He was a member and past worthy patron of the Warsaw Chapter #409 Order of the Eastern Star. A member of the Dutch Run Trinity United Church of Christ, Walhonding Valley Grange, and a Republican Central Committeeman for several years. He was a 1937 graduate of Warsaw High School.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Marie Yaw of Ravenna. A granddaughter, 4 great grandchildren, & 2 great great grandchildren. A sister, Ruth (Dale) Parker of Coshocton. Two brothers, Clyde Jr. (Donna Rae) Young and Albert (Martha) Young of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae (Shannon) Young, who he married April 20, 1940, she died July 3, 2010. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Young, a sister, Lillian M. Rodgers, and a son-in-law, Larry L. Yaw.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Wayne P. Harman officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home where there will be a Masonic memorial service at 7:45 p.m. and the Lions memorial service at 8:00 p.m.
