Danville - Alice L. (Smith) Coffield, 94, died Friday April 2, 2010 at the Knox Community Hospital.
She was born February 18, 1916 in Danville to the late Arley and Anna (Phillips) Smith. On March 31, 1934 she was married to Wayne Coffield, who died in 1953. She was a member of the Danville Grace Brethren Church and the WMC. She was a long time employee of the J.S. Ringwalt Store.
Alice is survived by her children; Bonnie (Pete) Resnis of Loudonville, and Roger (Denise) Coffield of Danville, grandchildren; Susan (Dave) Bright, Peter Resnis, Shane Coffield, Eric Resnis, and Shaun (Mallorie) Coffield, great grandchildren; Davy, Devyn, and Spencer Bright, siblings; Coretta Anderson, Marcella Goosens, Dorothy Little, Wanda McClain, and Larry (Margaret) Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son; Gary Coffield, and siblings; Frances McElroy, and Earl, Glen, and Murle Smith.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 11:30 A.M., at the Danville Grace Brethren Church. Pastor Roger Tickle will officiate. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 until service time at the church.
