Barbara Liegl

Howard – Barbara A. Liegl, formerly of Troy, MI, passed away at home on April 26, 2026 at the age of 88.

Barbara was born in Detroit, Mi on October 24, 1937. She worked as a secretary at Oakland University, where she earned her Master’s Degree from following her undergrad at the University of Detroit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and her husband of 60 years, Thomas.

She is survived by her daughters, Catharine “Cathy” (Jeff) Taylor of Howard, and Carrie (John) Pawlik of Arizona; five grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Allison (Justin) Chenevey, Nicholas (Britny) Taylor, Lydia Taylor, and Christopher Pawlik; and a great grandson, Aidan.

A funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville. Father James Farnan will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until just before service time.
