Barbara J. Tollison

HOWARD- Barbara Jean (Lauderbaugh) Tollison, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at her residence.

She was born April 27, 1939 in Mt. Vernon to the late Hilas and Pauline (Cline) Lauderbaugh. She was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, and worked as a clerk at the former Conley’s department store. She enjoyed vacationing with her daughter, including trips to Las Vegas and a cruise. She decorated cakes and collected dolls, porcelain houses and other figurines.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John C. Tollison of Howard, whom she married June 27, 1959; a daughter, Debra S. Tollison of Howard; and a sister, Carol (Fred) Hart of Mt. Vernon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Tollison; an infant son, Douglas Allen Tollison; and two sisters, Ruth (Dan) Rine, and Marilyn (Tom) Cunningham.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. A private graveside service will take place at Millwood Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
