KEENE - Betty Marie Dean, 86, of Keene died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1925 in West Lafayette to the late John and Jenny (Emler) Gaumer, Sr.

She was a clerk at the former M & K Market in Coshocton where she met her husband. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Moore's Enameling in West Lafayette during World War II as a shell inspector. Betty was a 30 year attendee of the Keene United Methodist Church.

A special thanks to the Interim Health Care Staff, Patti, Kelly, Leann, and Mary for their care.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas E. (Diane) Dean of Fresno and Michael A. Dean of Keene. A granddaughter, Heather (Thomas) Maust of West Lafayette. Two great granddaughters, Hannah D. Maust and Madison J. Dean. A great grandson, Zachary T. Maust. A special niece, Karen Miller of West Lafayette. Several cousins, nieces, nephews, and her special pets, her cats Hank & Sam.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman C. Dean, who she married Mar. 28, 1952, he died May 26, 2000. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Gaumer & John Gaumer, Jr.. A sister, Nellie Turnbull, two infant brothers, a grandson, Michael Jay Dean, and a special niece, Nancy Fry.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Pastor Charles Warren will officiate. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
