Betty A. Harding

Danville - Betty Ann Harding, 84, passed away Friday October 9, 2015 at her residence.

She was born December 11, 1930 to Edmund and Frances (Kent) Sapp. She married Carroll Harding on March 19, 1949. She retired after 39 years with the food service of Kenyon College. She loved to paint and sew, but most of all, spend time with her family.

Betty is survived by 3 daughters; Sue (John) Hammond of Danville, Kathy Mabe (Joe Tharp) of Mount Vernon, and Lori (Jon) Moore of Bangs, 2 sons; Joseph (Carol) Harding, and Stephen (Connie) Harding of Mount Vernon, adopted children; Susan Harding , and David (Melissa) Harding of Mount Vernon, grandchildren; Christopher Ray, Leslie Hammons, Christy Bennett, Amber (Jack) Sturgeon, Bridget (Justin) Wilson, Charlie (Sharree) Harris, Colton (Kasey) Moore, Cameron (Leah Carlson) Moore, and Eythan Harding, great grandchildren; Trenton and Trevor Sturgeon, Sydney Bennett, Connor McCammon, Hendrix Moore, Andrea and Charlie Wilson, Makenzie Vandyke, Christopher and Kyle Harris, Christopher Ray II, Theodore Ray, and Kayleigh and Sonador Harding, a sister, Linda Durbin, 4 sisters-in-law; Janet Sapp of Danville, Bea (Don) Ryan, and Joan (Don) Yoakman of Mount Vernon, and Ruth Gullet of Gambier, a brother-in-law, Jack Harding of Dayton, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters; Garnet Hess, and Mary Francis, brothers; Charles and Dick Sapp, and a great grandson, Henley Moore.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Central Christian Church, 17833 Gambier Rd, Mt. Vernon. Pastor Ken Springer will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Gambier. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12th at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
