Betty R. Truex

Mount Vernon - Betty R. Truex, 94, formerly of Danville, passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at the Country Club Retirement Campus.

She was born on March 15, 1921 in Junction City to Russell and Minnie (Price) Bilyeu. She married Ralph D. "Pat" Truex on July 15, 1940. She was a member of the Newark Rd. Church of Christ in Mount Vernon, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.

She is survived by her children; Kaye Crumbaker of Mount Vernon, Don (Helen) Truex of Howard, and Robert (Sally) Truex of Columbus, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, a sister, Patsy Samples of Danville, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant brother, Paul, and sisters; Mabel Smith and Ruth Huston, and a son-in-law, Philip Crumbaker.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Dave Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
