NELLIE - Beverly Lorine Parsons Buxton, 59, of 410 Fourth Street died January 18, 2009 at her residence.
She was born October 9, 1949 in Thornville, Ohio to Roy and Frances Eileen (Barr) Parsons. She was a 1967 graduate of Sheridan High School, and a 1970 graduate of Ohio University. Beverly was an active member of the Nellie Chapel United Methodist Church, Walhonding Valley Grange, a member and past President of the Warsaw Lioness Club, former member of the Warsaw Lions Club, and an Honorary member of the River View FFA. She served nearly 20 years as a 4-H Advisor of the Warsaw Honeybees 4-H Club and volunteered with the River View Band Boosters for 8 years. She was a former teacher at Warsaw Elementary School and a substitute for the River View School District. She always looked forward to setting up displays in the Agricultural Hall at the Coshocton County Fair. She was also a huge Ohio State Football fan.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Marion Buxton, whom she married, July 4, 1971. Also surviving is her daughter, Emily (Ryan) Adams of Pataskala. A son, Jesse Buxton of Columbus. A grandson, Nathan Adams. Her mother, Frances Eileen Barr Parsons of Thornville. Two brothers, Leroy (Carol) Parsons of Thornville and Charles (Alice) Parsons of Pataskala.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Parsons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Monica Huntsman officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. and until service time on Thursday.
