Beverly A. (Staats) Davis

MT. VERNON- Beverly Ann (Staats) Davis, 73, died Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her residence.

She was born April 18, 1948 in Mt. Vernon to Laken Glenver and Ilah Jean (Nyhart) Staats. She was a 1966 graduate of East Knox High School, and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ashland University. She married Art Davis on June 12, 1970, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2008.

Beverly loved her children and grandchildren, had a generous spirit, and she enjoyed her friends. She taught as a home economics teacher for four years before becoming a mother and homemaker. She was a very loving and supportive daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her mother, Ilah Jean Staats of Mt. Vernon; a son, Todd (Lindsay) Davis of Mt. Vernon and grandchildren, Ethan & Lily Davis; a daughter, Cinda (Dan) Stutzman of Bowling Green and grandchildren, Alex & Olivia Stutzman; a brother, Duane (Judi) Staats of Westerville; a niece, Kelly Staats of Jonesville, MI; and a nephew, Kevin Staats of Westerville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Laken Staats.

A private funeral service was held at Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial followed at Grove Church Cemetery in Gambier.
