Billy J. Mccombs, Sr.

COSHOCTON- Billy Joe McCombs, Sr., 71, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at his residence.

He was born March 1, 1947 in Coshocton Co. to the late Clyde and Evelyn (Giaugue) McCombs. He retired as a Supervisor for Rice-Chadwick in 2002 after 36 years with the company.

Billy attended the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle. He was a member of the Coshocton Sportsmen’s Club, and he enjoyed hunting and bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Candy (Wilson) McCombs, whom he married Feb. 25, 1967; a son, Ken (Lavonda) McCombs; a daughter, Tess (Mike) Parrett; grandchildren Emily McCombs, Tyler McCombs (Tara Ferrell), Casey (Matt) Riley, Schiane Jarvis (Bobby Blake), Daren (Sara) Jarvis, Maurissa Parrett, Addison Parrett, and Mason Parrett; great-grandchildren Thomas Sutton, Kohen Riley, Bella Riley, and Conrad Blake IV; and his siblings Stan (Sue) McCombs, Mary Lou (Bob) Holmes, Nancy Holder, Bobby (Betty) McCombs, and Judy (Rusty) Chaney; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe McCombs, Jr., and a brother, Danny McCombs.
