Bonnie L. (Swartz) Mcvay

WARSAW- Bonnie Lynnelle (Swartz) McVay, 67, died Sunday, April 28, 2024 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 19, 1956 in Coshocton to the late Russell W. and Beatrice I. (Bender) Swartz. She was a 1974 graduate of River View High School, and worked at Three Rivers Pottery for many years.

Bonnie attended Gospel Hill Ministry, and she always enjoyed going for long drives in the country after church. She loved flowers and working in the garden, crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. However, her greatest joy and most important part of her life was caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Charles L. McVay of Warsaw, whom she married June 14, 1974; their three children, Bruce (Allie) McVay of Warsaw, Jarrod McVay of Warsaw, and Heather Burch of Coshocton; grandchildren, Gage McVay (Carleen), Samantha Burch, Colton Fleming, Ava McVay, Delaney McVay, Briella McVay, Jess Anderson, Lilly Melton, and Michaela Jennings; sister, Ruth (Paul) Reed of Warsaw, several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Vicki Swails.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Charleigh Isabelle Burch; and two sisters, Reva Gamertsfelder and Helen Hartsock.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Gospel Hill Ministry, 27610 TR 45 Warsaw, OH 43844, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to service time at the church. Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
