Coshocton- Carlos Wayne Wright, Sr., 73, of 1212 S. 6th St., died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his residence.
He was born March 11, 1937 in Coshocton Co. to the late Fredrick E. and Bessie A. (Dickerson) Wright. He married Beverly A. (Worthington) Wright on Aug. 25, 1963, who survives. He worked for Cliff Hill's Shell Station for 25 years at the at the corner of 2nd and Main St., and for 20 years with Dave Lauvray's Pennzoil Station on Main St. before retiring. He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns & Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He had a heart of gold. If you lived in Coshocton Co. in the last 50 years, he probably worked on your car!
He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Coshocton. Also surviving is a daughter, Brenda (Greg) Akers of Newcomerstown. A son, Wayne (Bonnie) Wright of Fresno. Granddaughters, Megan, Morgan, & MaKayla Wright. A grandson, T J Wright. Two great granddaughters and one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Linda (Jim) Henry and Beulah (Larry) Wright of Coshocton. A brother, Clyde Wright of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, William, George, Chester, Kenneth, & Donald and his sisters, Betty Tignor and Gladys Wright.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will be in the Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Visitation is Monday, April 5, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. and until service time on Tuesday.
