COSHOCTON -  Carol Elaine Hardesty,  82,  of Coshocton died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.
She was born Nov. 13, 1935 in Coshocton to the late Gerald F. and Margaret E. (Shaw) Wallace.
She was a graduate of Coshocton High School, attended COTC, MATC, and Sawyer College of Real Estate.
Carol retired from Bank One (formerly Coshocton National Bank) in February of 1996 after 35 years.  She was a licensed real estate agent for 28 years with Century 21 Court Square Realty.
She was a member of the Coshocton County Board of Realtors, serving as Treasurer from 1998 until 2013.  National Assn. of Realtors, Ohio Assn. of Realtors, ASOREB District Association of Realtors, and a life time member of Alpha Gamma Chapter of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority; serving as President three times and was a Past Supreme State President.
She was active in and supported the Towne Center Association, Chamber of Commerce, Red Cross, Girl Scouts, and the American Cancer Society.
Carol enjoyed sports, motorcycle riding, reading, and her pets.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Carl Guthrie.  Two daughters, Teresa “Terri” (Curt) Derby of Manchester, CT and LT (Ret) Lisa (Scott) Edson of Fredericksburg, VA.  Grandsons, Christopher Derby of Manchester, CT and Kyle Edson of Fredericksburg, VA. A great granddaughter, Kaylee Jade Derby of Nampa, Idaho.  A sister, Dianne Peffer of Dresden.  Extended family, Tim & Sheryl Guthrie, Jim & Tammy Jo Huntington and their families.
Carol was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Renee Hardesty and Ora A. “Patty” Guthrie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16,  2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation is Friday, Dec. 15 from 6-8 p.m.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
