Carol Joy

Danville – Carol Joy, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at The Laurels of Mt. Vernon.

She was born April 26, 1939. She was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Griffith) Boggs. Besides her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Robert, Charles, and Olive Boggs, her first husband, Robert Paul Mizer, her second husband, Silas Joy, her sons, Vernon and Raymond Mizer, a half brother, Richard Rose, and a half sister, Dorothy Boggs.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Vickie Mizer of Danville, her son, Paul Mizer of Florida, a brother, Roger (Loretta) Boggs of Newark, grandchildren, Amanda (Cameron) Sanchez, and Kenny (Jessica) Mizer, and several great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, in the Workman Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s name in lieu of flowers to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio at kfohio.org. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
