Carole J. Bantum

       WARSAW- Carole Jean (Snyder) Bantum, 88, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at Lafayette Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in West Lafayette.

       She was born Oct. 13, 1937 in Akron to the late Irvin H. and Jeanette E. (Taylor) Snyder. She was a 1956 graduate of Warsaw High School, and the owner & operator of the former Carole’s Beauty Shop in Warsaw.

       Carole was a very talented watercolor painter, and a former member of the Coshocton Art Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family, who will miss her greatly.

       She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Bantum of Warsaw, whom she married March 31, 1985; her daughters, Linda (Mark) Hampton of Warsaw, Karen Liu of Newton, MA, and Cindy Diehl of Moon Twp, PA; grandchildren, Matthew (Karime) Massaro, Marie Schwartz, Nicholas Hampton, Mark Liu, John Liu, Matthew Diehl, and Sydney (Robert) Goode; great-grandchildren, Camila & Isabela Massaro, and Riley Schwartz; two sisters, Sandra (Kenneth) Youngblood of Canton, and Karen (John) Weletyk of Akron; a brother, Dale Snyder of Ft Lauderdale, FL; several nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Massaro of Rochester, MN; and a sister-in-law, Robin Snyder of Warsaw.

       In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Massaro; step-fathers, Samuel Croy, Sr & Alpha E. Divan; step-mother, Lucille Snyder; and brothers, Samuel Croy, Jr. & David E. Snyder.

       A private graveside service will take place in Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw. Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. FischerFuneralHome.com
