Loudonville- Carole Ramona Vess, 73, of 3277 SR 3, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at the Colonial Manor Health Care Center.
She was born Aug. 16, 1937 in Coshocton Co. to the late Frank and Martha (Robinson) Rhodes. She was a 1955 graduate of Danville High School. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, and part-time truck driver. She worked for her nephew for a short time on his pizza trailer. She loved helping to care for her three granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Vess of Loudonville, who she married on Aug. 20, 1955, a daughter, Jackie Kranz of Loudonville, three granddaughters; Chris Kranz of San Antonio, TX, and Erica & Jessica Kranz of Loudonville, and a sister, Sheila Puglisi of Ashland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers; Harold and Harley Rhodes.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at Workman Cemetery in Danville, with Dave Jones officiating. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington D.C., 2004.
