COSHOCTON - Carter Lynn "Butch" Boylan, 75, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born Nov. 2, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late Jean Warren and Irene Belle (Vincent) Boylan.
Carter was a meat manager in the grocery business for 40 years in Columbus. He loved his retirement years, serving as an interpreter and broom squire in Roscoe Village which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed making and sharing his puzzles, and loved going to the beach with his wife. He was a 1955 graduate of Union High School and a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Bonnie (Bailey) Boylan, whom he married Oct. 7, 1956. Also surviving are two daughters, Julie (Ken) Brode of Coshocton and Becky (Mark) Harris of Bay Village. Two grandsons, Zach (Catherine) Dorsch and Nathan Haines. A step grandson, Trevor Harris. A great granddaughter, Ella Dorsch. Two sisters, Lee Snedeker of Bradenton Beach, FL and Judy (Paul) Stoltz of Mount Vernon. A brother, Hal (Linda) Snedeker of Waukee, Iowa. A very special cousin, Sue (Arnie) Tice of Freeport, IL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Lewis and an infant sister, Tina Belle Snedeker
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Dail Parrish officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the church.
The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling the arrangements.
