Charity Waldeck

      DANVILLE- Charity Waldeck, 47, died Friday, July 11, 2025 at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

      She was born Sept. 1, 1977 in Mt. Vernon to Michael L. and Elizabeth (Leedy) Waldeck. She was a very outgoing people person. She loved and cared for the residents she served at Country Court Nursing Home, where she worked for eight years. She enjoyed going to the county fair, hanging out with her many friends there. She also loved traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandkids.

      She is survived by her mother, Liz Waldeck of Danville; her spouse, Aubrey Ratliff of Danville; her many grandkids; special sisters, Carla Jackson of Ashland, and Michelle Sapp of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many close friends.

      She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Waldeck.

      There will be no public services. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.

      Memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
