Charles G. Hill

Howard – Charles Gilbert Hill, 85, passed away Monday December 11, 2017 at his residence.

He was born May 8, 1932 in New Lexington to Clarence V. and Bernadine L. (Flowers) Hill. He was a Korean Veteran, serving in the U.S Army from 1949 to 1955. He was a member of the V.F.W., enjoyed bowling, and was always hard working, and enjoyed his work and spending time with his family.

Charles is survived by his son, Randy Hill of Howard, his brother, Kenny Hill of Auburndale, FL, nieces and nephews; Don and Linda Sanford, and Marie Sanford of Howard, Melody McGill and Michael McGill of Huber Heights, Robert Mays of Port St. Lucie, FL, Jim and Sue Sullivan of London, Mike Sullivan and  Janet Mullins of Obetz, Joe Hill, Janie Hill, Susie Weeks, Jesse Hill, and Paul Hill all of Auburndale, FL, Harry Hill of Columbus, and several other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary M. (Mays) Hill on November 12, 2004, brothers; Clarence E., James V., and Harry L. Hill, and a sister, Genevieve M. Sullivan.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 13 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Rev. Karl Bender will officiate. Burial will be in Northlawn Cemetery in Westerville at 1:30 p.m. with military honors by the American Legion Post #171. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
