Charles B. Neely

Danville – Charles Blaine Neely, 78, died Tuesday May 17, 2016 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 15, 1937 in Mannington, WV to Robert E. and Icie (Rogers) Neely Queen. He married Doris May Nyhart on April 18, 1971. He was a self employed truck driver for many years. He retired from Boyd Brothers and Edsel’s Excavating. Besides driving, he also loved to motorcycle ride, travel, and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, children; Cindi (Charlie) Peck of Danville, Cliff Neely of Butler, Kevin (Pertain) Buckland of Lewis Center, Deborah (Mike) Miller of Perrysville, and Edsel (Paula) Buckland of Danville, grandchildren; Connie (Josh) LaRue, Courtney (Matt) Dugan, Robert Neely, Alisha Neely (fiancé Dave Elkins), Logan Neely, Jessica Buckland, Jason (Valarie) Frazee, Mike (Carrie) Frazee, Whitney (Alex) Petras, Ben Buckland, Kelly Buckland, and Becky (Luke) Baer, 12 great grandchildren, mother-in-law, Velma Hartwick of Danville, brothers and sisters; Janet (Larry) Miller of Mount Vernon, and Richard (Osa) Neely of Arkansas, many nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law; Esther (Ralph) Neighbors of Mansfield, and Sandra Patterson of Mount Vernon, and brother-in-law, Robert Grubaugh of Mount Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters; Betty Grubaugh, Archie Neely, and Everett Neely, fathers-in-law; Edsel Nyhart and Ray Hartwick, his first wife, Betty (Sampsel) Neely, and sisters and brothers-in-law; Jane (George) Bowers, and William (Lucille) Sampsel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 21 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-9 Friday evening.
