Mount Vernon - Charles "Sonny" Raymond Zollars, 70, died Monday December 27, 2010 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born June 6, 1940 in Mount Vernon to Everett L. and Helen E. (Brumbaugh) Zollars. He was a member of the Eagles in Mount Vernon and the NRA, and also had an affiliation with the Killbuck Church of Christ. The most important things to him were his family, and his farm.
He is survived by his sons; Terry (Stephanie), Jerry (Pam), and Chris (Connie) Zollars all of Mount Vernon, grandchildren; Maggie, Tyler, Christopher, Colin, and Terra, and a sister; Linda Hawkins of Killbuck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Ruthie Hedrick, and his former wife; Carolyn (Dial) Zollars.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with a memorial at 7:00. Brother Philip McMurrin will officiate. A graveside committal service will be held in Amity Cemetery on Thursday December 30th, at 1:00.
