Danville - Christine Kash Mickley, 74, died Friday January 22, 2010 at Summervile at HilenVale in Mount Vernon.
She was born December 25, 1935 in Swords Creek, VA to John P. Banner and Fleeta J. (Helton) Banner. On June 14, 1958 she was married to Glenn A. Mickley.
She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and was the coordinator for events at their community center for many years. She worked at Kresges and Cooper - Bessemer, and also operated her own business "Catering by Chris" for many years.
She is survived by her children; Randy (Raymond Johnson) of Worchester, MA, Tammy (Dan) Joseph of Gambier, Connie (Ed) Auker of Plain City, L. Patrick (Jody) Mickley of Danville, Glenna (Joe) Armstrong of Sunbury, and Doug (Marcia) Mickley of Danville, grandchildren; Nathan, Whitney, and Melanie Joseph, Ryan, Glen, and Sarah Auker, Janelle and Kyle Mickley, Bailey, Collin, and Drew Armstrong, and Craig and Wade Mickley, a sister; Doris Ann (Harold) Ebersole of Fredericktown, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Glen, who died March 25, 2009, and a brother; William Banner.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday January 25, 2010 at the St. Luke church in Danville. The Rev. F. Richard Snoke will officiate. Burial will follow in St, Luke Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the church from 1-4 on Sunday.
Since Chris and her husband Glen helped to deliver hot meals to people in the Danville area, the family suggests memorial donations to The Sanctuary - Meals on Wheels Program; P.O. Box 505, Danville, 43014. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
