Christopher Scott Dobson

September 30, 1960 — June 13, 2011

COSHOCTON- Christopher Scott Dobson, 50, died suddenly on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the home of his parents on Hillsdale Dr.

Chris was born Sept. 30, 1960, the son of James and Tina (Hoop) Dobson. He made his home back in Coshocton after having spent nearly 30 years in the Denver, CO area. While there, he worked as a carpenter, and later entering the field of law enforcement, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the late William Hoop. He served ten years with the Denver Police Dept. before being disabled in a motorcycle accident.

He was a 1978 graduate of Coshocton High School, attended Kent State University and the Law Enforcement Academy in Denver.

In addition to his parents, James & Tina Dobson of Coshocton, he is also survived by a sister, Denise Mallon of Castle Rock, CO, a niece, Adrienne Epifano of Maui, HI, an uncle & aunt, Richard & Laura Hoop of Coshocton, a step-daughter, Heather Johnson of Denver, CO, and numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; William & Esther Hoop, Norma Stanfield, and Woodrow & Alice Dobson.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Roscoe United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.
