HOWARD- Clara J. Troyer, 87, of 29240 Brush Run Rd., died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at her residence after a period of declining health.
She was born May 13, 1924 in Holmes Co. to the late John E. and Maryann (Miller) Yoder. On Feb. 18, 1943 she married Andrew D. Yoder, who preceded her in death on June 27, 1963. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.
She is survived by her children; Mary (Dan) Hostetler of Conewango Valley, NY, Ella (John) Hershberger and grandson Andy (Betty) Hershberger, both of the home, Henry (Mattie) Troyer of Bellville, Eli (Katie) Troyer of Walhonding, Clara (Mosie) Hostetler of Conewango Valley, NY, David (Fannie) Troyer of Hillsboro, John (Elizabeth) Troyer, Andy (Edna) Troyer, and Alvin (Mary) Troyer, all of Howard, two sisters; Dora (Alfred) Miller of Apple Creek, and Ella (Noah) Yoder of Howard, a brother, Eli (Suzanne) Yoder of Orrville, sixty-seven grandchildren, and 196 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at the residence, 29240 Brush Run Rd., Howard, OH 43028, with Bishop Dan Raber officiating. Burial will follow in Raber Cemetery in Big Prairie. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
