Connie L. Kauffman

       GAMBIER - Connie Lynn (Russell) Kauffman died at the Ohio’s Hospice in Columbus on September 2, 2026, at the age of 79.

       Connie was born in Genesee County, MI on April 24, 1947. She was the daughter of Gerald Leroy and Mary Margaret (Norris) Russell, who both preceded her in death along with her husband of 43 years, Henry “Hank” Kauffman; sons, Eric Marks and Brent Kauffman; and siblings, Gary Russell and Christine Russell.

       Connie and Hank made a great team. Outside of creating a wonderful family, together they made Timberwind Llamas into one of the top Llama ranches and breeding operations in the country. She also helped Hank in forming the American Llama Show Association (ALSA) Regional and Grand National championship show programs among many other llama shows, including the Ohio State Fair. And they made many friends along the way. In addition to working alongside her husband, Connie also enjoyed boating and knitting.

       She is survived by her son, Aaron (Tiffany) Marks; step-son, Steven (Heidi) Kauffman; grandchildren, Christopher (Halee) Pompey, Erin (Travis) Nethers, Tori Kauffman, Hunter Kauffman, Jessica (Andrew) Payne, Erica Kauffman, and William Kauffman; and great-grandchildren Azula and Zarmella Kauffman.

       Connie requested that no services be held, but feel free to celebrate, honor, and remember her however you wish to. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville assisted with arrangements. A memorial page is located at fischerfuneralhome.com
