Connie J. (Wright) Looney

HOWARD- Connie Jean (Wright) Looney, 79, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at her residence.

She was born Feb. 27, 1945 in Mt. Vernon to the late Carl Wright and Ruth (Hawkins) Wright McClain. She married C. Clifton “Cliff” Looney, who preceded her in death Oct. 14, 2006 after 43 years together. She worked as an operator at the local phone company for four years, and was a member North Bend Church, where she was very active. She liked to stay busy, and was always there to help anyone in need.

She is survived by two children, Scott (Jennifer) Looney of Brentwood, TN, Heidi (Mark) Hulse of Fredericktown; her grandchildren, Zachary (Emily) Looney, Morgan Looney, Jake Looney, Connor Looney, Hunter Hulse (Juliana McEndree), and Haylee (Jeffrey) Rucker; sisters, Nancy McClain, Jeanette (Mitch) Sheldon; aunt, Betty Laughrey; several nieces & nephews; sisters-in-law, Phoebe Schoonover, Wanda Cole, May (Don) Mowery, and Mary Colopy; brothers-in-law, Chet (Mary Jo), Ron (Kelley), and Carl Looney; and cousins, Carl Wright, Linda Zimmerman, Dixie Laughrey, Mike (Sandy) Laughrey, Judy Earnest, and Steve Laughrey.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim McClain; two brothers-in-law, Curt & Carter Looney; an aunt, Mary Lou Huff; and an uncle, Kenneth Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024 at North Bend Church (24458 Orange Hill Rd. Danville, OH 43014), with Pastor Patrick Bailey officiating.
