FRAZEYSBURG- Cora Frances (Cowger) Degarmo, 81, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to everyone, passed away at her residence on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born May 16, 1944 in Hacker Valley, WV to the late Issac Robert Cowger and Susannah Ellen (Collins) Cowger Degarmo. She married Earl Everett Degarmo on May 2, 1964, who preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1984. She retired from Ohio Plastic in Frazeysburg.
Cora was an avid dog lover, and she enjoyed the outdoors, especially going camping. She loved going antiquing, and never missed the National Road Yard Sales.
She is survived by three daughters, Wave (Herb) Cooper, Nora Degarmo (Ned), and Mary (Michael Shane) Rambo; a son, Danny Degarmo; grandchildren, Shawn Simpson, Adam Negash Jesse Degarmo, Teresa Degarmo, Jasmine (Dillon) Smith; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Gale "JR" Degarmo; a grandson, Terence Keith Degarmo; sisters, Irene Sinnett, Mildred Carr, and Shirley Cowger; and brothers, Harold, John, Junior, & Richard Cowger.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2025 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
