FRAZEYSBURG - Roy Dale Guthrie Jr. , 69, of CR 3 died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
He was born September 18, 1943 in Warsaw to the late Roy Dale and Willaw Florence (Ward) Guthrie.
Dale was retired from Muskingum Tractor in Zanesville. He enjoyed his family, farming, and working on tractors. He was greatly enjoying his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A. (Kimble) Guthrie, whom he married July 7, 1963. Also surviving are two sons, Mike (Shelia) Guthrie of Walhonding and Doug (Jennifer) Guthrie of Zanesville. A daughter, Amy (Chad) Wolford of Frazeysburg. Six grandsons, Brett (Felicia) Guthrie, Jamie Guthrie, Trevor Guthrie, Zachary Guthrie, Austin Wolford, and Logan Wolford. A great grandson, Ryan Guthrie and a great granddaughter, Madyson Guthrie. A brother, Gary (Ruth) Guthrie of Mobile, AL. Three sisters, Ellen (John) Byers of Martinsburg, Ruth (Rev. Arthur) Ball of Heath, and Mary Jane (Myron) Lowe of Frazeysburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Ward and a half sister, Irene Foucht.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Mr. Ray Griffith officiating. Visitation is Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. and until service time on Saturday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
