Daniel A. Ashcraft

       WEST LAFAYETTE- Daniel A. Ashcraft, 74, formerly of Warsaw, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2026 at Roscoe Gardens Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Coshocton.

       He was born Jan. 26, 1952 in Coshocton to the late Raymond L. and Doris Erma (Vansickel) Ashcraft. He was a 1970 graduate of River View High School, and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Malone University.

       Dan came back home to work as a teacher at River View High School, where he also served as a football & track coach, until his retirement. He enjoyed golf, was a trivia master, and was known for his ornery and witty personality.

       He is survived by a daughter, Dani (Dan) Fordham of Streetsboro; a granddaughter, Olivia Fordham; a sister, sister, Donna Ashcraft; a brother, Steve (Linda E.) Ashcraft; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Ashcraft, and Linda A. Ashcraft; as well as several nieces and nephews.

       In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Ashcraft and Robert R. Ashcraft.

       Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, Sept. 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. FischerFuneralHome.com
