Daniel D. Raber

HOWARD- Daniel D. Raber, Bishop, 68, of 26540 Kirk Rd., passed away at his residence on Monday, July 17, 2023 after a battle of cancer.

He was born Jan. 1, 1955 in Millersburg to the late David L. and Amanda (Miller) Raber. He married Lydia J. (Miller) Raber on Nov. 6, 1975, who survives.

Dan was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

In addition to his wife, Lydia, he is survived by his children, Edna (Andy) Troyer, Roman (Erma) Raber of the home, Paul (Ella) Raber, Mattie (David) Troyer, Nettie (Alvin) Troyer, Betty (Andy) Hershberger, David (Anna) Raber, John (Clara) Raber, Elsie (Levi) Troyer, Marie (Alvin Jr.) Troyer, Marvin (Nancy) Raber all of Howard; seventy-eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; and one sister-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother; two brothers; one brother-in-law; and one stillborn grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at Dan’s residence 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, with Nelson L. Raber officiating. Friends may call at the home any time. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
