David Thomas

LOUDONVILLE- Lennie David Thomas, 77, was born February 10, 1947 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Noah L. and Sadie R. (Lang) Thomas. "David" passed away on October 15, 2024.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell J. Thomas; his wife of 40+ years, Debra "Debbie" (Bostic) Thomas; his father-in-law, Albert Bostic; several aunts and uncles; and a few good friends.

David is survived by his three children, Dee (Chuck) Landaker of Warsaw, Randy Thomas of Warsaw, and Noah (Kaitlin) Thomas of Mansfield; his mother-in-law, Lillie Bostic; four grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Michael, Abby Thomas, Ashton Thomas, and Sadie Thomas; three great grandchildren, Tate and Bodey Michael, and Zariyah Reese; his pomeranian “Rowdy”; three half-siblings; one step-sister; three sisters-in-law; and a few good friends.

After graduating high school, David served in the United States Army. He was a hardworking man with a very strong personality; “old school” is a term that fits. He loved his family; his wife was his whole world. David was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. His passion was working on automobiles and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time in the woods hunting and fishing, and with family going out to eat.

David worked at the Flxible Corp. for over 25 years and spent his retirement years tinkering around in his garage. You could always count on a cold Pabst, a good laugh, and interesting conversation when you're out there with him. David will be remembered for many good times like these along with his huge heart, loyalty, and his sense of humor.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 at Workman Cemetery in Danville, with military rites by the Knox Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. FischerFuneralHome.com
