Mount Vernon - Delmar D. Devore, 73, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Tuesday December 30, 2008 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born October 28, 1935 in Brinkhaven to John C. and Esther R. (Sheldon) Devore. On October 1, 1960, he married Mary Ann Fry. He attended the Covenant Christian Church of God in Mount Vernon.
He is survivd by his wife; Mary Ann Devore of Mount Vernon, children; Debra Devore and David (Lisa) Devore of Mount Vernon, and Darlene (Kenneth) Childers of Newark, grandchildren; Ryan and Micayla Devore, and Clayton Childers, and a brother; Donald (Deanna) of Decatur, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday January 3, 2009 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with the Rev. Tim Overly officiating. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
