Mount Vernon - Donald E. Alberts, 70, died Sunday November 6, 2011 at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born September 29, 1941 in Knox County to the late Orlo O'dell and Evelyn D. (Davis) Alberts. He was retired from Kokosing Construction and was a member of the Local Union #1216. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his garage, and his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife; Leah (Robinson) Alberts, daughters; Carolyn (Kenny) Geog of Brinkhaven, and Kim (Jason) Kodger of Fredericktown, grandchildren; Andy (Jenifer), Kandi (Gabe), Randy, Ryan, Alex, and Keith, great grandchildren; Gabe Jr., Nicole, Nick, Briar, Hailey, and Nathan, his brother; David Alberts of Mt. Vernon, and sisters; Wilma Alberts of North Ft. Myers, FL, Becky Hager of Mt. Vernon, and Eva Alberts of Brinkhaven.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Gary, Ralph, Robert, and Charles Alberts.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday November 10, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow in Amity Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
