Donald F. Riley

DANVILLE- Donald Franklin Riley, 83, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

He was born Sept. 4, 1933 in Centerburg to the late William Stanley and Addie Josephine (Feasel) Riley. Following his service time in the United States Army, he was a truck driver until his retirement. He was a foster grandparent with the Mt. Vernon Developmental Center, and a member of the Mt. Vernon AmVets. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and Danville sports, especially football and girls basketball. He attended New Castle Ministries, where he enjoyed his time of fellowship.

He is survived by his children, Cindy (Andy) Moreno of Irving, TX, William (Paula) Riley of Danville, Rickie Parker of Big Prairie, and Kim (Roger) McFadden of Danville; eight grandchildren, Andy (Brannon) Moreno, Autumn (Dave Edwards) Moreno, Jamie (Randy) Suttles, Matthew (Rose) Moreno, Maria (Brandon) Smith, Timber Moreno, Bailey Moreno, and Patrick (Yhanise) Riley; seventeen great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Carol) Riley of Mt. Vernon; and two sisters-in-law, Grace Riley and Jean Riley, both of Mt. Vernon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Barbara Jean Riley Friedlander, and Jeraldine Riley; a daughter, Lori K. Powell; four brothers, Charles “Chuck”, Francis “Hank”, William “Bill” and Richard “Dick” Riley; and a sister, Betty Spray.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Tiverton Cemetery. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
