Coshocton - Donald Alfred Smith, 85, passed away surrounded by his family, Tuesday April 12, 2011 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 27, 1926 in West Virginia. In 1953, he married Goldie M. Price, who survives.
He is also survived by his children; Jim Smith of Coshocton, Tom (Laura) Smith of Warsaw, Sally Ronald (Christine) of New Philadelphia, Ruth Strange of Warsaw, and Kathy (Roger) Perdue of Coshocton, 6 grandchildren; Rich and Lee Ronald, Sheila Strange, Jessica Greir, and Donald and David Perdue, and 6 great grandchildren; Varenna, Blake, Gavin, Connor, Skyler, and Tristan.
Donald enjoyed his family and grandchildren, as well as fishing, hunting, and gardening.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 15, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Evangelist Ron Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow in Darling Run Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Friday.
